The Spotted Shark is committed to bringing awareness of vitiligo to the public sector. Our foundation is an (NPO), which stands for a non-profit organization. Our mission is to create a bond between mental health and bullying, due to vitiligo.

The Spotted Shark foundation was created by Timmy Johnson. At the age of 9, Timmy was diagnosed with a skin disease known as vitiligo. Because of what he went through, he was passionate about speaking up and helping others with the same skin disease to know there is hope and they are not alone. After months of trying to find treatment, various medications helped but were not effective in the bullying he endured and how his mental health struggled as an effect.

The Johnson family decided to create and establish The Spotted Shark Foundation in 2019.

The Spotted Shark Foundation continues to bring awareness about vitiligo through events and activities which help families affected in many ways. The Spotted Shark Foundation pledged to deliver messages in order to help individuals with vitiligo by providing support of understanding of how to love and embrace themselves.
